Thank You from IPMBA

Thank you for participating in the 2014 IPMBA Conference in Tampa, Florida.  Although this letter is long overdue, we truly appreciate your support!  IPMBA is committed to assisting industry suppliers in their efforts to market to the public safety community.

Although you were not able to join us in the exhibit hall, we appreciate your contributions to our conference.  Attendees enjoyed their welcome bags and the items found within as well as the opportunity to bid on many excellent products.  If you donated an item and would like to contact the person who secured your product, please let me know.

Please see the article posted at about all of our wonderful supporters.

At the first conference of bike-mounted police, in 1991, our founding fathers could only dream of a future with thousands of police, EMS, and security personnel riding bikes in the line of duty.  On the eve of our 25th Annual Conference, public safety cycling is widely recognized as effective, economically smart, community oriented, and good for the environment, too.

Please take advantage of the many ways that IPMBA can help you increase your visibility in the market.  For more information about corporate membership, advertising in IPMBA News, participation in the IPMBA Product Purchase Program, sponsorship opportunities, and/or exhibiting at next year’s conference, please contact me at 410-744-2400 or

Thank you again for supporting IPMBA.  We look forward to seeing you in the Exhibit Hall at the 25th Annual IPMBA Conference in Chandler, Arizona.

Brian Matter 2Well – Hopefully you know by now, but if you don’t I’m stoked to let
you know I pulled off another Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 win!  Making my
total number of victories Six!

They race is pretty special.  If you haven’t been or haven’t seen the

the start of one of the biggest and most iconic races in the US.

Again, I couldn’t go it without your support.  Whether its been for
this season or since my first Chequamegon in 2003 I’m really really
thankful for this opportunity to turn my passion of racing bikes into
my ‘job’.

From Gross, to Fresh and Clean

So I just got back from the Breck Epic, six days I brutal mountain biking…and am finally getting around to unpacking things like my sweaty, muddy, salt crusted and just generally nasty helmet.

Now, in the past this is something I might have just ignored, or maybe if I remembered…brought it in the shower for a shampoo rinse. But with the ProGold Foaming Helmet Cleaner and Deodorizer, this was literally a 5 minute job that took my helmet from gross, to fresh and clean with almost no work. I just liberally coated all the surfaces of the grimy helmet…waited a few minutes while the foaming action did it’s thing, rinsed it off and bam! Like new helmet…no more mud, salt stains or sweat stank!  I hit my shoes up too, which to be honest are an even more often neglected piece of equipment…and those came out awesome too.

It’s not often you find a product that completely changes how you go about your equipment maintenance routine, but this cleaner is going to be key to keeping my helmets and shoes clean on a week-in, week-out basis throughout the season. And, I think it’ll save me time to boot. Hard to argue with that.

Another Awesome Product

I love to do work on my bike.  One of the downsides is the amount of dirt and grease I get on my hands and shop rags.  It’s seemed inevitable that I’d be dirtying up rag after rag whenever I did maintenance on my bikes.

Enter ProGold ProTowels.  I first bought these in order to clean my Cyclocross and Mountain bikes after short rides, when just a quick clean was needed.  They have since been relegated to many bigger roles.  I use the towels to clean my hands, chains, frame, shifty bits, pretty much anything in the shop that gets dirty I can whip out a ProTowel and get it clean.

I also like that they can be recycled so after I’m done I just toss it in the paper bin with everything else going out for the week.

I’ve been using these towels for about 6 months now and really recommend them for any DIY’er to keep around the shop, they don’t just work great for bikes I use them to clean up after all sorts of household and home improvement related tasks.

Thanks Progold for making another awesome product I can use to make my life a little easier!
